Here are a couple of E-Mails from John Prather who remembers a few other deceased:

Gary
About 8 yrs. ago I was talking to an attorney named Ray Taylor who attended Jefferson in 1960-61. He told me that he heard two guys we both knew had passed away. One was Benny Lender and the other Bill Fitz. The spelling may be a little off on the last names. Fitz was friends with Tom Melenyzer and probably Jim Ruaine (sp). Lender played football at Jeff. The best fight I have ever witnessed was between Ray Taylor and Benny Lender. It was held at Babcock acres. Babcock Acres- The area of northeast corner Babcock rd. and Huebner rd.  There were 4 foot  brick square entrance markers for roads into the future subdivision, which never happened.
About 30 car loads arrived and some cars made a circle and turned on the headlights. The footballs players backed Benny and the others backed Ray. There was some extra shoving from the ballplayers when they fought into the crowd. Great fight.
I know Benny went into the navy after high school and was hurt in a dock side accident. I hung out with him a short time in 1965 after his navy time. Fitz was into politics and reminds me of commedian Dennis Miller.
Thought I would pass this on to bloodhound Gary.

Gary
I know you have done a lot on the site, but are you going to put pictures on the 62 memoriam list.
You probably are already working on it, but thought I would ask.

Three other people that passed away which I think we talked on the phone about last month.

I think this happened yr. 58-59 while we were sophs.
Bobby Hartman - lived a couple block from the Herman brothers, the nuns, Stanley's Texaco.
He drove a pink 54 ford convertible. He was racing Bobby Hernandez in his tourquize blue 54 ford convertible off Sunshine road near the YMCA and lost control and the car ended up on a telephone guy wire. He had a piece of chrome in his head.
Another student Dennis Niles was badly injured.  There was a lot of student unrest because the school would not mention the death durning the morning intercom chant. I don't remember the outcome.

Victor Grant - he lived in Inspiration hills and drove a fast 57 chevy. I think he was class of 60.
He was a contractor with graders and scrapers.
He passed away in the late 90's or early 2000.

Richard Ramirez ( I think the last name is correct) His dad owned the Mad Hatter on Zarzamora street.
Richard died of cancer soon after hight school.

Just more trivia that you may can use.
